From Elite Athlete to Neurologist
A former elite ice hockey player turned chiropractic neurologist, Dr. Sockander specializes in high-performance care. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic (MChiro) in 2015, followed by his Chiropractic Neurology Diplomate (2018), ICSC Sports Certification (2022), and MSc in Musculoskeletal Neuroscience (2023).
Dr. Sockander has provided care for NHL players, elite handball athletes, and golf professionals—seamlessly blending advanced neuroscience with hands-on clinical expertise to optimize performance and accelerate recovery at the highest competitive levels.

Dr. Leif Sockander, DC, CCSP, DIBAK, ICCSP
A Lifetime Serving Excellence
With over 41 years in practice, Dr. Leif Sockander is a highly respected chiropractor who has served his local and national communities with distinction. His certifications span multiple specialties: board-certified in Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK), Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), Fellow in Vestibular Rehabilitation (FABVR), and Fellow in Brain Injury and Rehabilitation (FABBIR).
Dr. Sockander has worked with 11 national sports teams and served as official chiropractor for the Ottawa Senators, Frölunda HC, and Redbergslids IK. His reputation in functional neurology and sports performance care is built on decades of exceptional clinical outcomes and unwavering dedication to his patients.
